Guide for Business Managers

This guide is for the person who runs a dog business on BModBridge. You set up the company, invite your team, buy seats, and pay the bill. You do not have to train dogs yourself.

Meet Sam. Sam owns Happy Paws, a small training business with two trainers, Rosa and Lee. Sam wants everyone using the same tool. We will follow Sam.

Start here: set up your company

Step 1. Sign up and pick your seats

A seat is a paid spot for one Professional (a person who works with dogs). Business Managers who don't work with dogs don't need a seat.

  1. Go to app.bmodbridge.com/pricing.
  2. Pick Monthly or yearly billing.
  3. Use Add a seat and Remove a seat to choose how many Professionals you have.
  4. Type your business name and email.
  5. Tap Start your free 30-day trial. The checkout asks for a card. Nothing is charged for 30 days, and you can cancel before then.
  6. Check your email for a sign-in link. It comes as soon as the checkout is done.

When you're done, you become the company's Business Manager. Sam picked 2 seats, one for Rosa and one for Lee.

Step 2. Sign in for the first time

  1. Go to app.bmodbridge.com.
  2. Tap Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, or tap Email me a sign-in link instead.
  3. Use the same email you signed up with.
  4. Agree to the Terms and Privacy Policy. You must agree before you can use the app.

You land on your Company page.

Step 3. Add your logo and colors

Open the Branding tab on your Company page. Add your logo and your business name. Your company gets its own sign-in page with your look. Share that link with your team and clients.

Step 4. Invite your team

  1. On your Company page, open Add someone.
  2. First, pick the role. You can pick more than one:
    • Professional for people who work with dogs. This uses one seat.
    • Business Manager for people who help run the business. This does not use a seat.
  3. Enter their name, email, and mobile number.
  4. Send the invite.

If you pick Professional and have no seats left, BModBridge will stop you. Buy another seat on the Billing tab first.

Sam's story: Sam invited Rosa and Lee as Professionals. Then Sam invited Jen, who answers the phones, as a Business Manager. Jen can help with the team and billing, but she doesn't use a seat.

Step 5. Do you also train dogs?

If you work with dogs too, go to Company → Team and tap Make Professional on your own row. That uses one seat. You can do the same for anyone on your team, and Remove Professional frees the seat (reassign their clients first). When a dog owner asks to delete their account, you'll get a notification and see the request under Deletion requests on the Clients page. Then read the Guide for Professionals.

Your Company page

Your Company page has tabs. Hover or press on a tab name to see what it does.

Tab What it's for
Team Everyone in your company. Tap a person to see their details.
Clients Every client and dog in your company, and who works with them.
Activity What your team has been doing lately.
Resources Articles, files, and videos for your team and clients. Only Business Managers can add or change them.
Branding Your logo, name, and sign-in page.
Billing Your seats, renewal date, and payment details.
History A record of changes to your team and license, client data exports, and when client or team access was turned on or off.

Your resources

Only Business Managers can add, change, remove, or turn off resources. Professionals on your team can read them and share links, but they can't change them.

  • Add one. Open the Resources tab on your Company page and choose Add resource. Add a link or a file.
  • Turn one off. Use the switch on its card. Your team and clients stop seeing it. Turn it back on any time. Nothing is deleted.
  • BModBridge library. The same page lists the resources BModBridge provides. You can't change them, but you can turn one off for your clients, and back on later.

Managing your team

Tap a person on the Team tab to open their page. From there you can:

  • Make Business Manager or Remove Business Manager.
  • Turn access off when someone leaves. They can't sign in or change anything. Their past work stays safe.
  • Turn access on to bring them back.
  • Choose which clients they work with.

Business Managers are never assigned to dogs.

If only one person is in your company, that person stays the Business Manager. BModBridge will not let you remove them or take that role away.

Sam's story: Lee moved away. Sam turned off Lee's access and moved Lee's clients to Rosa. Nothing was lost. Rosa could read every note Lee had written.

Seats and billing

  • One or two seats is the Individual plan: $49 a month or $490 a year for each seat. Three to five seats is the Business plan, $129 a month or $1,290 a year. Seats 6 to 10 cost $25 a month or $250 a year each on top of Business. Need more than 10? Get in touch and we will set your team up.
  • Open Billing to add or remove seats (up to 10), see your renewal date, or update your card. During your free trial you can change the number of seats inside your plan. Moving from 5 to 6 seats, or switching between monthly and yearly, waits until the trial ends.
  • Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial. If a renewal payment fails, your team keeps working for up to 14 days while the card is retried.
  • Your team can keep working as long as your license is active.
  • BModBridge will warn you in the app and by email before your license ends.
  • If your license ends, your team can still read their records, but they can't add or change anything until you renew.
  • If your plan has ended, Billing has a Start a new plan button. You keep your company and your data. You pay from the first day: a new plan does not include another free trial.

Invoices

  • Billing lists every invoice, newest first, with its date, number, amount, and status (Paid, Due, Failed, or Refunded).
  • Choose Download PDF to open an invoice in a new tab. Choose Load more to see older ones.
  • During your free trial there are no invoices yet; your first charge is on the date shown.

Payment alerts

  • If a charge fails, every Business Manager gets a "Payment failed" notification. Choose Update payment details on Billing to fix it.
  • When the card on file expires within 30 days, you get one "Payment card expiring soon" reminder for that card.
  • Business Managers also get these by email: a reminder 7 days before each renewal or the end of your free trial, a failed payment, a payment that goes through after failing, a canceled plan (and again when it ends), a card about to expire, and any change to your seats or billing period.

Keeping your company healthy

  • Every week: Look at Activity. See which clients have gone quiet.
  • Every month: Check Billing. Make sure you have the right number of seats.
  • When someone joins or leaves: Invite them or turn off their access the same day.

Questions and answers

Someone didn't get their invite. Check the email and ask them to look in spam. Send it again from the Team tab.

It says no seats are available. Add a seat on the Billing tab, then invite again.

A Professional says they can't add anything. Your license may have ended, or their access is turned off. Check Billing and their Team page.

Can I see my team's clients? Yes. The Clients tab shows every client in your company.

Who can delete, turn off, or export a client's data? Only Business Managers. Professionals can't do any of these, and neither can dog owners. You can only do them for clients in your own company.

How do I delete a client? On the Clients tab, choose Delete client on the household. It can be restored from Recently deleted for 90 days, or tick Delete immediately to erase it now.

How do I turn off a client's sign-in? On the Clients tab, choose Turn off access on the household. Their dog owners can't sign in until you choose Turn on access. Nothing is deleted. A person who also works as a Professional, or who belongs to another household, is left alone.

How do I get a copy of a client's data? On the Clients tab, choose Export client data on the household. You get a ZIP file with one spreadsheet per dog. To export every client at once, use Export all client data on your Company page.

Can a client belong to two companies? Each client works with your company's Professionals. Email support@bmodbridge.com if you have a special case.

I want to stop marketing emails. Open your name menu, then Profile, then Email preferences. Turn off Product news and offers. Billing emails and other account emails still arrive.

How do I get help? Email support@bmodbridge.com. We reply within one business day. Tell us what you were doing, what happened, and the email you use to sign in.

Preview features

Preview features are early tools you can try before everyone gets them. BModBridge chooses which ones your company can use. When at least one is ready for you, a Preview features tab shows up on your company page. Each one starts off. Read about it there, then turn it on if you want it. You can turn it off at any time.

AI summaries

AI summaries is a preview feature. Once BModBridge makes it available, turn it on from the Preview features tab. You must agree to let the AI read your clients' records first. Then your Professionals can tap Summarize to get a short, computer-made recap of a dog. You can see the summary for any dog your company supports, once a Professional has made one. Dog owners never see them.
